Event Space FAQ

Redeemed Farm is a historic Century Farm located 30 minutes north of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St Paul in Scandia. We have lovingly restored the farmstead with the dream of hosting weddings and events in addition to it being our home. We love sharing our farm with others and having it used for such a joyous occasion as a wedding.


What does the rental include?

Exclusive use of Redeemed Farm from 9am to 11pm
Upper and Lower Milk Barn, Machine Shed, Bridal Cottage, Grooms Stable and adjacent Lawns

When do we open?

Our Venue is 3-Season – We reserve events May through October.

What are the hours for the event rental?

You have the venue from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm. Music must end at 10:00 pm.
Rehearsal times are available at the farm upon request if date is available.

How many guests can be accommodated?

We have a capacity of up to 175 guests.

Do chairs and tables come with the rental of the venue?

Yes, we have vintage Palmer Snyder ceremony chairs and Vintage Oak Cross Back dining chairs included with your rental along with 4, 6, 8 and 10 ft. reclaimed wood tables for up to 185 guests. If you choose to use our chairs and tables they are included in your rental and we will set up and take down.

Is Music permitted?

Of course… Music is permitted in the large barn, machine shed and for outdoor ceremonies. We have a professional sound system installed for you to use. We operate within a set decibel level respectful of our neighbors and to meet noise ordinances.


We partner with a highly rated group of catering companies to give you choices. They know our farm and are trusted partners with the highest level of quality and professionalism. Our caterers are licensed and insured. A list of caterers are available are available here.

We do not require you to use our vendors but ask that your selected caterer be licensed and insured.

We do not charge a catering fee.

Beverage Service

We partner with a highly rated group of Bar Service companies to give you choices. Again, they know our farm and are trusted partners with the highest level of quality and professionalism. Our Bar Service companies are licensed and insured. A list of our Bar Service companies are available are available here.

We do not require you to use our vendors but ask that your selected Bar Service be licensed and insured.

We do not charge a Bar Service fee.

If you serve alcohol, we require an off-duty Washington County Deputy be onsite during hours alcohol is  served.
Their rate is $40/hour with a four hour minimum. You pay the officer directly the night of the Event.

No alcohol is permitted to be brought in by guests or consumed on Redeemed property including the parking area.

Is Wedding Insurance required?

Yes… this is standard with any venue.

A special events insurance rider for $1,000,000 is required with Redeemed Farm and yourself listed as insured. Many choose to put this rider on their homeowners policy. Other options are available at Wedsafe.com or Wedsure.com

Are there on-site restrooms?

Yes, we have beautiful onsite restrooms for your guests that are handicap accessible.

Are there requirements for decorations?

We love when Brides decorate our barns… but we do have some limitations.
Open flame, candles, confetti, rice, smoke or fog machines, fireworks, sparklers or glitter are not permitted. Bubble makers are not allowed as they create a slippery floor hazard. Hay bales are not allowed in the buildings due to fire code regulations. Decorations cannot be hung with tape, nails or screws.

Many Brides will choose to use new wax luminary candles without a real flame… we have samples we can show you that you will just love.

Is there a place to enjoy an outdoor fire?

Yes, we have an outdoor fire pit for gatherings and s’mores and a beautiful 30 foot stone fireplace in the Machine Shed. Wood is provided. Fires are lit and maintained by Redeemed Farm Staff.


Parking is available for up to 125 cars.
Parking attendants are included as part of your rental of Redeemed Farm.

We have a golf cart and parking attendants that can help with anyone needing assistance.
Our parking area is capable of handling most limousines or a shuttle bus.

Is there running water, electricity and Wi-Fi?

Yes, we have running water in the Dairy Barn, Bridal Cottage. Prep Staging area and Bathrooms.
Wi-Fi is available however bandwidth is limited in the Scandia area.
There are plenty of electrical outlets available throughout the farm.

What should guests wear to a farm wedding?

Attire should be chosen based on the formality of the invitation. Also, with the lawn expanses of the farmstead and rustic elegance of the barn and machine shed it is highly recommended not to wear high heels. The outdoor spaces are grass, pavers, wood chips, and reclaimed wood plank flooring.

Is there someone onsite during the day and evening?

Yes, we have multiple Redeemed Farm Staff onsite during your event.

Do we have a wedding coordinator?

We highly recommend you have a wedding coordinator to assist you with all of the details so that you can enjoy the moments of your wedding day.

What address do I send my deposit to?

We use E-Sign for our electronic agreements and Quickbooks for our online payments.
